JCB has engaged with Bolgers on initial design concepts for a new machine build. Our design team, in collaboration with JCB’ s design engineers, are working on design for manufacture (DFM) on concepts and prototypes for a new machine launch scheduled for 2017.
Head of International Sales Andrew Lynch and our welding supervisor Andrej Swietilk have just returned from visiting one of our major OEM customers in Germany to prepare for the implementation of Robotic Welding. Bolgers is working in partnership with our OEM customer to replicate their robotic welding cell and integrate that into our manufacturing facility to increase production efficiency.
Bolgers Engineering Business Development Manager Paul Collins has graduated from the prestigious Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) International Selling Programme. The programme is run in conjunction with the Irish government agency Enterprise Ireland. Paul participated with representatives from some of Ireland’s top firms in an intense 11 month programme of campus-based tutorials, work assignments and face-to-face advisory sessions with leading business consultants. As part of the programme Paul worked with the senior management team in Bolgers to develop a new 2-year International Growth Plan.
DIT is one of the largest higher education institutes in Ireland and has been ranked in the top 100 globally of university-level institutions under 50 years old.
Bolgers Engineering has just secured a major contract with a leading international Food and Beverage OEM. The customer has selected Bolgers for outsource of their fabrication builds, allowing them to focus on increasing production capacity with the installation of new assembly lines. Bolgers won the contract in a highly competitive bid process against multiple suppliers from Europe and China. The contract was awarded to Bolgers because of previous successful deliveries, and after an assessment of our full end-to-end capabilities. In particular the client wanted Bolgers to be able to integrate closely into their planning and supply processes. The contract is due to kick off in Q1 2017.
Bolgers Engineering have won a prestigious Quality Award from Medtronic, a global leader in medical technology, services, and solutions. Bolgers was nominated for the award by Medtronic Minimally Invasive Therapies (formerly Covidien) for achieving scores of 99.9% for Quality and 100% for on-time delivery. Joint managing directors Ian and Graham Bolger travelled to the Covidien site to receive the award. Bolgers Engineering supplies Medtronic with Respiratory housing assemblies.
